Patrick Berrey January 12, 1963 - September 19, 2026

In loving memory of Patrick Anthony Berrey who passed away September 19, 2026, at the Dryden Regional Health Centre with family and friends by his side. Pat was born in Dryden, Ontario, January 12,1963. He loved fishing, hunting, spending time on Thunder Lake, boating on Wabigoon Lake, and loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed driving his Miata on day trips. Pat held administrative jobs, most recently serving as the administrator of Princess Court.

He was predeceased by his parents Keith and Claire, and brother Norman Berrey. Patrick is survived by his loving wife Christina, sons Bryan, Brent, and grandson Casper. Brother Mike of Nanaimo B.C., father-in-law Harold Robinson, sister-in-law Jo-Anne Robinson (Scott Senakovicz), nephews, and many other family and friends, including his dog Jax. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Barrie and staff at the DRHC, family and friends who offered love and support throughout Pat’s illness. Pat will be deeply missed and life simply will not be the same without him.

As per Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Pat’s Biography (written by himself)

I was born and raised in the community of Dryden with a four-year relocation to Thunder Bay in my mid-20s to attend Confederation College and achieve a Diploma in Business Administration.

While residing in Thunder Bay my wife Christina and I married in 1988 and upon returning to Dryden we began our family. We have two amazing boys Bryan and Brent, and an amazing grandson Casper.

I began my administrative career as Deputy Clerk-Treasurer for the Township of Barclay and then became the Deputy Treasurer for the City of Dryden after the amalgamation of the two municipalities in 1998. This career spanned a term of 15 years. During this time, I added to my education achieving my Municipal Administration Diploma and designation of an Accredited Municipal Clerk-Treasurer (AMCT).

In 2006, I accepted the position of Administrator for Princess Court Long Term Care Home. At the outset, I again upgraded my education with a diploma in Long Term Care Administration along with the designation of a Long-Term Care Administrator. Throughout this career position, I have seen the growth of the home with the opening of a new 32-bed addition along with the growth of the management team.

We continue to pursue the mission of the home “Enriching the Lives of Those We Serve” and we take pride in caring for and supporting the residents who built the foundation of the communities in the Kenora District.
