It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father, Eric Kaiser.
He was born on August 16, 1962 to his parents Bobby and Lucy Kaiser. He began his journey on September 21, 2026, with arms wide open to embrace his late wife Vera-Ellen.
Eric’s sudden passing has brought deep sorrow to all that knew and loved him. Those who knew dad will remember him – not only for what he did, but for the warmth of his presence and the good humour he shared so freely. Eric’s family and friends will hold close the memory of a man who cared deeply and gave generously of himself.
Eric is survived by his brother Gerald (Jean) Kaiser, sisters Christine Stiles and Sandra (Rick) Desaulniers. His children Dawn-Marie, Byron (Bre), and Jennifer. His grandchildren Brayden, Emma, Daven, and Trinidy. Sister and brother-in-law Sherry (Bob) McGogy and Hugh Wong, as well as numerous nieces and nephews that he spoke of often.
He is predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Vera-Ellen, parents Bobby and Lucy Kaiser, brother Dougie Kaiser, sisters Kim Kaiser, Carol Johnston and Sylvia Ryan, brother-in-law Ron Johnston, nephews Curtis and Joshawa Desaulniers, and Keith Kaiser. Mother and father-in-law Joel and Georgina Lindquist, sisters-in-law Julie Degenhardt, Heather Westergard, and Lori Wong. Brothers-in-law Guy Docs, Dennis Westergard, and Stan Degenhart, as well as son-in-law Lanny Perlin.
As per Eric’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service to follow.
We would like to thank the staff at the Dryden Regional Health Centre and the Thunder Bay Regional Health and Cancer Centre for the care they provided dad and his family through this difficult time. We would also like to thank Dr. Holzapfel for his exceptional level of care and dedication.
