In Loving Memory of Maria Alsaçia Falcão

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Maria Alsaçia Falcão at home in Vermilion Bay, Ontario on December 5, 2022, at the age of 86. Maria was born on October 14, 1936 in Rabo de Peixe, São Miguel, Açores.

Those blessed to hold her in their lives will remember her as the most gentle and generous soul. She was a very strong and caring woman with a great sense of humour and loved to laugh.

Cherished Mother to Regina (Sean), Grace (Deborah), Victor (Sheila), Lidia (Danny), and Nelson (Lucy). She is a proud Grandmother to Matthew (Jessica), Erin, Mandy (predeceased), Nicole, Meagan, Victoria, and Joseph. A loving Great Grandmother to Maria, Oliva, and Isaiah. She will be missed by her sisters Lindaura, Ester, Lidia and Estrella. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., as well as 3-9 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home with prayers at 4 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will take place at the St. Joseph's Catholic Roman Church with Father Alan Campeau officiating on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11 a.m.

Internment is to follow at the Vermilion Bay North Cemetery.

    My dear sweet adorable aunt, you have left us to be with our mother in heaven, you were very happy with Regina, but now your in paradise. Tia I loved our talks, I loved to hear your laughter, you were the best aunt to have known and loved. May your soul rest in peace tia.
