Marguerite “Mugsy” C. Larocque February 26, 1939 - June 22, 2026

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Loretta), Denis (Maggie), Darrel (Kim), and Darcy (Tracy); grandchildren, Nicole, Adam, Dessa, and Landon; great-grandchildren, Chase, Jett, and Price. She is also survived by her siblings, Pat, Dick, and Jenny, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Phil, with whom she shared 61 years; her brother, Mike, sisters Patsy and Ramona; parents Pat and Eva, as well as her daughter-in-law, Leah.

Mom, known as “Mugsy”, was born and raised in Rainy River, where she spent 80 years before moving to Dryden in 2017 to be closer to family and access healthcare services. Mugsy was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. Her door was always open- welcoming all to escape the busyness of life, find comfort during difficult times, reconnect with loved ones, or to simply talk and share a cup of coffee.

Special thanks to Deb, Sandra, and Dick for their unwavering support and care when we could not be there. A special thank you to the healthcare teams at Rainy River Long-Term Care, Dryden Regional Health Centre, and the Princess Court staff for their exceptional compassion, kindness, and dedicated care.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life and interment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Princess Court DECO, Box 953, Dryden, ON P8N 3E3
