Tiera Cherelle Bruyere
Waawaaté-Kwe (Northern Lights Woman)
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved, daughter, sister, and mother on March 26, 2023 at the age of 32.
Tiera was born in Dryden, Ontario on May 18, 1990 and called both Eagle Lake and Wabigoon Lake First Nations home.
Tiera was preceded in death by unborn son; grandparents Agnes and Rueben Cantin Sr., Michael Bruyere, aunt Diane Bruyere, uncles Christopher and Michael Bruyere; cousins Ethan Bruyere, Brent Bruyere, Daniel Cantin and Tiffany Morrison.
Tiera is survived by her son, Chayton Bruyere; partner, Sean Flett; parents Renee Bruyere and Rueben Cantin Jr; brother Nathan Bruyere; nephew Sawyer Bruyere; grandparents Virginia and Frank Meawasige and aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to mention.
Tiera was affectionately known as “TT” to her loved ones and friends. In TT’s early years she had a love for figure skating and competing in local competitions – she was our little superstar. Soon after, TT found a love for hockey, not because she played, but loved to watch her little brother Nathan – travelling to almost every tournament, which then evolved to following his semi-professional career, she was one of his biggest fans – being a big sister was something she took seriously and meant so much to her.
TT was big on family, especially family gatherings. Nothing compared to sharing laughs with her cousins, who were more like siblings, she held them close to her heart. To those that knew her, she was tiny but made up for it in attitude with a splash of stubbornness, but she never let that get in the way of her telling you she loved you.
Above all, TT loved being Chayton’s mom. Some people search their entire lives for their purpose, she was fortunate to have found hers the day he was born. Chayton will continue to know about his mother’s love for him – love does not end in death, it’s something we carry forever.
We will miss TT terribly, but our faith reminds us that our girl is safely in the arms of loved ones gone before her and that she has found peace and everlasting life.
