Margaret Dunham

January 24, 1916 – June 23, 2018

In loving memory of Margaret Dunham who passed away peacefully on June 23rd, 2018 with her family by her side.

Born in Lanark, Ontario in 1916, she had 102 years to enjoy life and the adventures it brought her. She is survived by her daughter Mary Anne (Ed) Belmore, son Peter (Linda) Dunham, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased be her husband Bob in 1991 and her great grandson Tristen Wise.

Margaret moved from the south to Kenora in 1955. That was home for 13 years until her and Bob bought the Savant Lake Hotel. After another 13 years they moved just south of there and built a little tourist camp at Sturgeon River. But, as age caught up, they settled in Dryden. She had a passion for gardening. Where ever she lived, the grounds were adorned with flowers. Truly a lady with a green thumb. She touched the hearts of many with her outgoing personality, not to mention her good cooking.

A special thanks to all at Princess Court who made her final years relaxing and comfortable. We will truly miss her.

As per Margaret’s wishes, there will be no visitation.

A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home with Father Alan Campeau officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dryden Cemetery.
