Lionel Levesque October 10, 1940 - June 30, 2021

In loving memory of Lionel Joseph Levesque who passed away peacefully at Princess Court, Dryden, ON, with his sons by his side.
Lionel was born October 10th, 1940 in St. Damase, QC. He was the oldest of 12 siblings.

In 1960 he married Madeline Thibault and had 3 children; Sylvain, Michel and Linda. Madeline passed away unexpectedly at a very young age. Lionel then remarried Denyse St-Pierre in Quebec. They had a son together; Stephan.

Lionel worked very hard all his life and settled in Ignace, Ontario in 1983. He owned and operated a logging business for many many years. Lionel decided at age 50 to retire and enjoy many years of hunting and fishing. His children and grandchildren can tell many adventurous stories about their dad/grandpa especially if anyone else had caught the first fish or his grandkids pulling tricks on him thinking he had a fish on his line, making him run to check. He loved his deer hunting and would be so happy and excited when he got one, so proud.

Alzheimer’s disease then slowly little by little took him away.

Lionel is survived by his wife Denyse and his 4 children; Sylvain Levesque (Carrie), Dryden, ON, Michel Levesque (Wendy), Dryden, ON, Linda Tremblay (David), Lampman, SK and Stephan Levesque (Stacey), Kitscoty, AB and by his 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Lionel is predeceased by his brother Lucien (2020) and his sister Carmen (2021).

He will be sadly missed and always in our hearts.

A big thank you to Princess Court Staff for their care and service with Lionel.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will take place at a later date in Quebec.
