Jayelle Courtney Lynn Napish September 25, 1988 - July 4, 2022

Date of Funeral

July 9, 2022

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of our beautiful Jayelle at the age of 33 years on the early morning of July 4th, 2022 at her residence. Jayelle was known to everyone as Bubbles. A nickname her grandpa, Late Roy McDonald named her when she was a baby. Jayelle was born at McKellar General Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ontario on September 25, 1988 to her mother, Myrna McDonald and her father, Late Brad Napish. They resided in Thunder Bay and eventually moved to make their home in Wabaseemoong where she grew up. After graduating from High School, she went on to further her education at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. There she would meet the love of her life and soul mate, her husband, Dean Yik. Together they welcomed their pride and joy, precious daughter, Jaylah Raksmey.

After relocating her family to Wabaseemoong, she started work at Mizhakiiwetung Memorial School as a classroom assistant. Although she loved her job working with children, she accepted employment with WCWA where she first started off as a receptionist. She later joined the finance department as a finance clerk and lastly as a Manager of Finance. She was an asset to the team. Her coworkers enjoyed working with her often needing her input.

Jayelle always showed such dedication and devotion to everything she did. She had a warm, caring, respectful, friendly and humorous personality that everyone was sure to love. She was always quick to respond with a comeback. A trait just like her dad had. She took great pride in everything she did. Among them were travelling whether it was weekend getaways to visiting her family in Eagle Lake or family vacations. She had plans to take her family travelling to other parts of the world. Jayelle wanted to give her daughter the opportunity to explore and see the world.

Among her many talents were cooking and you could always count on her to make something that everyone will love. Especially during family game nights or family dinners. She enjoyed making charcuterie boards and creating delicious meals for us. She loved listening to music or reading on her downtime and it never failed, she would send reels, TikTok videos on our family group chat. She loved any opportunity she had to go fishing.

Leaving to cherish her memory are her loving husband Dean and her beautiful daughter, Jaylah. Her mother Myrna. Her Aunts, Elsie, Marilyn, Marlene, Patricia, Mary (Randy), Crystal (Richard), Jenna and Angela (Mark). Uncles; Robbie, Lloyd, Roy, Ronnie (Lynda). Her besties; Victoria, Whitney, Deanna, Samara, Boi, Kirk, Jamal, Caleb, and many more extended family too numerous to mention.

Jayelle reunites with her Dad Brad, who she missed dearly. Her Grandparents; Roy and Matilda, Margaret Napish and Clarence Favell. Dan and Gerry Harrison. Great Grandparents Joe and Laura Napish.
