George Pitchenese July 28, 1953 - September 7, 2021

In loving memory of George Pitchenese who passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.

George is predeceased by his parents Edward and Catherine, brothers Fred and Bill, sister Dora and son Jonathon Medicine.

He is survived by his children Christie and Curtis Medicine and grandchildren, Nieces and nephew Eva, Cathy and Edward Pitchenese and his cousins, who were more like siblings as they all grew up together; Harry (Dolly), Daniel (Phyllis), Julia (Mike), Isabel, Jack and Beverly, and special niece and nephews; Marjorie Napish, Rocky Napish, Wilfred Napish and Ivan Napish.

George loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing all year for fun and as a guide. He also enjoyed radio bingo, decorating his house for every occasion (Halloween, Christmas, valentines etc.) and being with his family. He was a great carpenter and just recently finished his own gazebo.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 11 a.m. until time of service at the Eagle Lake Community Hall.

A Traditional Service will take place on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Eagle Lake Community Hall with Elder Ron Mandamin officiating.

Interment will follow in the Eagle Lake First Nation Cemetery.
