Elva Marie Thorne nee Bolton
January 10, 1935 – April 16, 2019
Elva Marie Bolton was born on January 10, 1935 to parents Weston and Annie Bolton in Lenore, MB. The family moved to Winnipeg, MB during WW2 and there she attended elementary and high school. In February of 1955 she met Gareth Thorne and they married December of that year. Elva was the mother of 5 children; David, Heather, Laurie Ann, Jill Diane and Jame. The family lived in many Canadian cities. They moved from Bell’s Corners near Ottawa to Dryden in 1965 where they resided ever since.
Elva was predeceased by her parents, sister Marlene, brothers Ken and James, son David and son-in-law Ross. She is survived by her husband Gareth, brother Harvey, sister Diane Kszonzyck (Howard), children Heather Sarvis, Laurie Ann Browning (Dave), Jill Lafreniere (Todd), 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as our dearly loved foster daughter Valerie and family.
