Mrs. Elsie Pollard at the age of 81 of Dryden, Ontario passed away peacefully with her son Stephen and her siblings by her side in the Thunder Bay Hospital.

Elsie was born in Pinewood, Ontario on December 28, 1940 to Florence and Edward Desserre.

She grew up in North branch, Ontario and did her schooling there.

Elsie Married Chancler Pollard and within a few years had moved to Dryden, Ontario. Elsie and Chancler were blessed with their son Stephen and also raised two nephews, John and Terry Pollard.

Being a wife and mother was her joy. Family meant everything to her. The Pollard home was open to all their extended family.

She loved to cook, was an accomplished sewer and crafter. Time spent fishing and camping were truly enjoyed.

Elsie will be deeply missed and loved by her son Stephen, special nephew John Pollard and his wife Colleen along with a special niece Rose Pollard and their families.

She is also survived by sisters Yvonne (Don) Chambers, Joan Turecki, Barbra Wragg, and Elaine (Noel) Larocque. Also her brothers Ron (June) Desserre, Gerry (Marilynn) Desserre, Rodger Desserre, and Mickey (Cindy) Desserre along with many, many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her brother in-laws Donny (Maria) Pollard, Clarence (Arlene) Pollard and Lawrence’s wife Anne Pollard and with more nieces and nephews.

Elsie was predeceased by her husband Chancler (married 60+ years), her parents Florence and Edward Desserre, brother Dale Desserre, sister Darlene (Alex) Chobotar, brother In-laws Lawrence Pollard, Clifford (Darlene) Pollard, David Pollard, Eugene (Della) Pollard, and Lavern Pollard, sister In-laws Gladys Weston and Hellen Pollard and special nephew (son) Terry Pollard.

God Bless Her for thinking of others before herself. Love you Always!

A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, July 4, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the First Untied Church with Jamie Miller officiating.

Reception to follow with interment at a later date.
