Dorothy Ann Leray (nee Edison)

11 February 1945 – 15 March 2018

Passed away peacefully at Dryden Regional Health Centre surrounded by family and friends on 15 March 2018 in her 73rd year.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Raymond, son Richard (Patricia), daughter Veronica, Grandchildren Brianna, Ryan, Ashley, Adam and Kate-Lynn, brothers George (Jane), Robert (Anne) and sister Clara(Edward), numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She molded many young boy’s minds by being an excellent leader of Beavers & Cubs in Dryden.

Dorothy was a custodian of the Moose Hall for many years. She also worked as an independent contractor at the Dryden Tree Nursery. She babysat many young children in the Barclay School area & Canyon Lake, Outlet Bay Area.

Dorothy was very passionate at collecting hats, driftwood, sewing (making clothes) and crocheting blankets for everyone. She was happiest living at Canyon Lake with the sand beach and beautiful sunsets.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 10 a.m. until time of service at the Vermilion Bay Lions Club.

A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 12 p.m. at the Vermilion Bay Lions Club with Pastor James Wood officiating.

Cremation to follow.

Interment will take place at a later date.
