Brian Delaronde March 27, 1958 - April 1, 2024

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brian Emile Nicolas Delaronde, who left us on April 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Brian, a beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend, leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and laughter that will forever be cherished by those who knew him.

Brian is survived by his devoted wife, Michele, whose love and companionship brought him immeasurable joy throughout his life’s journey. He is also survived by his children and their spouses: Ryan (Andrea), Brent (Danielle), and Devin. Additionally, he leaves behind his stepchildren and their spouses: Cole (Juanita) and Kristine (Trevor). Brian was a loving grandfather to Brannon, Trey and Shyne, and step grandfather to Alex and Victoria.

He is also survived by his siblings Ursula, Janet (Steve), Lorne (Sharon), Dewatt (Dorothy), Ritchie (Debbie), Gerald, Gertrude, Vivian, and Karen (Tom), as well as his goddaughter Leah and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Gilbert and Verna, along with his siblings Degas (Ruby), Cynthia, Valerie, Maureen, baby Derek, Janet’s husband Jim, and Vivian’s husband Nelson. Also preceding him were his nephews Jeffery, Rob, and Toons.

Brian was born in Winnipegosis, grew up in Camperville, and moved to the Dryden area in his early teens. He dedicated over four decades of his life to the Dryden pulp and paper mill. He retired in 2018, leaving behind a lasting impact on his workplace and community.

One of Brian’s greatest passions in life was the great outdoors. He found solace and joy in hunting and fishing, with some of his fondest memories made on the serene waters of Rice Bay. Brian’s love for nature was infectious, and he shared many unforgettable moments with family and friends in the wilderness.

A true sports enthusiast, Brian cheered passionately for his favorite teams: the Toronto Blue Jays, Winnipeg Jets, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. His enthusiasm for sports was matched only by his love for his community. Brian was a longtime member of the Dryden Darts Association, where he not only enjoyed the sport but also formed lasting friendships, including the one that brought him to his beloved Michele.

Above all, Brian will be remembered for his immense kindness, his generous spirit, and his quick wit. He was always the first to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed assistance, and his clever sense of humour brought joy to all who knew him. Brian’s presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and laughter will continue to resonate within the hearts of his family and friends for generations to come.

Rest in peace, Brian. Your memory will forever be a blessing to us all.
