Malcolm J. B. Tait September 15, 1998 - June 9, 2026

Date of Funeral

June 17, 2026

In loving memory of Malcolm Jeremy Bruce Tait who passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the age of 27 in Dryden, ON.

Malcolm was a quiet and reserved person at first, but those who took the time to know him discovered someone who was warm, funny, and full of conversation. Once he felt comfortable around you, he could talk for hours, sharing stories, opinions, and the things he loved.

He had a passion for anime and was a devoted fan of Rick and Morty. He enjoyed hip-hop music, fishing, and staying active in the gym. Malcolm loved lifting weights and had an appetite that amazed everyone who knew him—he could eat just about anything and still remain skinny as ever.

A hardworking and determined man, Malcolm was always looking for opportunities to work and provide for himself. He worked in construction, helping build homes in Sachigo Lake, Ontario. Through his dedication and perseverance, he saved enough money to purchase an ATV, something he was proud to have earned through his own hard work.

As a child, Malcolm played hockey and carried that same competitive spirit and determination throughout his life. Whether he was working, working out, spending time outdoors, or enjoying his favorite shows and music, he approached life in his own way—with quiet strength and authenticity.

Malcolm will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his loyalty to those he cared about, and the unique sense of humor he shared with family and friends. Though he often kept to himself, his presence left a lasting impact on the people who knew and loved him.

He was predeceased by grandma Sarah Tait, his sister Miriam Tait, his brothers Daniel Tait and Mario Barkman, uncle Jason Tait, as well as special friend Monica Pitchenese.

Survived by mother Marissa, father Dino, sibling Deanna, grandparents Joseph Tait, Mike Morris, and Anne Anderson. Niece Danica Nothing, as well as many cousins, family, and friends.

A Viewing Service will take place on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home with Cecilia Chapman officiating.

A Funeral Service will follow on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the St. Clement’s Anglican Church in Sachigo Lake First Nation, ON.
