Trevor Tew November 19, 1941 - September 28, 2025

In loving memory of Trevor Tew who passed away from a very aggressive form of lung cancer on August 28th, 2025.

Trevor was born in Redhill Surrey, UK on November 19th, 1941 and came to Canada with his parents when he was 3 years old.

Trevor is survived by his wife of 50 years Ann, his sister Sally & brother in law Allan, several nieces & a nephew. He was predeceased by his parents Jim & Irene Tew and a sister Sandra Adams.

Trevor spent some years working for Coca Cola and many years in Construction. He had a keen interest in rock collecting & a few artifacts & fossils as well. He had an interest in animals & him & Ann ran Boarding Kennels for several years.

His proudest accomplishment in life (with the help of others) was the establishment of an animal rescue which came to be named Second Chance.

Trevor & Ann believed that Dryden & area needed an animal rescue so much that they bought land & donated it to Second Chance to put our building on! Countless hours of volunteer time were to follow & many lucky animals were to find their “furever” homes! Trevor was always so proud to show off the new arrivals to anyone who came to visit.

Cremation has taken place & at Trevor’s request no service will be held.

If friends so desire donations may be made to: Second Chance Pet Network, Box 343, Dryden, ON P8N 2Z1

A friend sent this in:

“Those we love don’t go away

They walk beside us every day

Unseen, unheard, but always near Still loved, still missed and very dear”
