Peace at last. No more pain.
Tom was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin to Joyce and Sonny Pilipishen and moved to Canada with his family in 1965. The family lived in Vermilion Bay and Tom attended school there and in Dryden. His favourite subject was pool and he spent many hours perfecting his game! He worked most of his earlier life operating machinery in the bush for different forestry companies. He enjoyed these jobs and his co-workers always said he was one of the best. He was still way too young when his diagnoses of MS caused him to stop working. At his last job, he had to be helped into the machine in order to operate it. Tom also loved fishing and hunting but had to give that up as well as the MS took away his mobility, though he did sit in a chair in the bush while his brother Mike drove the deer towards him!
Tom was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his son Shaun Pilipishen, grandchildren Fayte, Aurora and Shaun Thomas (Tommy) and their mother Shandy, his sisters Bonnie (Jim) Fowler and Joy (Rob) Robinson, brothers Jim (Lynda) and Mike (Marcia), nieces and nephews Shane Fowler and Michelle Kleinke, Bill Robinson, Jackie Robinson, and Lydia Lecot, Simeon and Micah Pilipishen, and Allison, Eddie and Adam Pilipishen, who all like to remember him fondly as the “cool uncle” who liked fast cars and fast snow machines. He is survived by many other relatives both in Canada and the US.
Tom spent the last year in Princess Court where he received excellent care from the staff there. It made such a difference in his life and the family is very grateful to all of them for this.

June 2, 2022 at 2:33 amDeepest condolences to the family I had the pleasure of helping him in his last year of life. He was always pleasant to deal with and his “smart remarks” always made us laugh. He could definitely pull a fast one on me when we would banter back and fort.
