Tessa was born at the Dryden Red Cross Hospital to George Edward and Dorothy Elizabeth Lever.
She was predeceased by her parents as well as sister Ella, infant brother George Andrew, brothers Bill, Jim, George, Herbert, and Roy.
She is survived by sons Richard and Leslie as well as sisters Ruth (Raymond) and Mary and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Tessa was married to the lake Frank Smith in 1972 and moved to Vancouver Island with Richard where their son Leslie joined the family. She returned to Dryden in 1977 with Richard and Leslie, where she lived until her recent passing.
‘Aunt Tess’ loved to knit and crochet and every baby born into the family received a hand knit sweater set or baby blanket. Christmas sweaters were sometimes received under the tree through to graduation. Tessa’s other interests included buying Lottery Tickets, assembling jigsaw puzzles, reading, and listening to early classic country music.
Tessa was cremated according to her wishes and a small family Graveside Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the Dryden Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Dryden Community Funeral Home.
