Tammy spent most of her life in Dryden, leaving only to finish high school in Red Lake in 1987. She married the love of her life, Donald, on July 30th, 1994. They renewed their vows after 25 year in August 2019. She was an active member of the community, she love to volunteer and did so in countless places such as; teaching Sunday school, Girl Guides, coaching YBC at Timberlanes, the Ice Dogs, and the Fair Board/Agricultural Society. She also spent a lot of her time doing all of the other things she loved such as bowling, darts, riding her horses and being involved in the community, camping and fishing, attending concerts, shopping, going for motorcycle rides/trips with Donald, spending time with her loved ones, and often travelling to the United States to spend time with her special friends whom she affectionately called her “hockey family”.
Tammy was a very recognized face in our small city, she had no problem making people smile and she could (and often did) become friends with anyone she met. She was always there to help anyone who needed it and would quite literally give you the shirt off her back. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, coworkers, and numerous others she has encountered over the years. Her smiling face may not be around to greet us, and her arms may not be there to hold us, but every single person she touched will carry a little piece of her with them and that will keep her spirit alive forever.
