Rosel Jaszczyszak March 21, 1935 - June 15, 2024

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Rosel Jaszczyszak on June 15, 2024 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre at the age of 89.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter, sister Annalise, brother Peter and her son John.

Rose is survived by her sons Paul (Joy) and Walter (Sylvie); her grandchildren Christopher (Jaclyn), Melissa (Jamie), Stephen, Leah (Devin), Jeffrey, Andrew (Stephanie), and Joel (Neesha); and 6 great grandchildren.

Rose was born in Lahnstein, Germany by the Rhein River. She spoke of being raised partly by her grandmother. She married Peter Jaszczyszak and they began their journey to Canada in 1954. They lived in Ottawa, Amesdale and Dryden. She raised 3 sons in Dryden. Her husband Peter passed away in 1992 and she spent many years living in their family home. She had various jobs that included the bus depot, Proudfoots and security guard at the mill. She knew many people and would love to share her life stories with anyone that would take the time to listen. She loved taking road trips to the city and spending time at the casino. She enjoyed knitting and sitting outside on sunny days. This year she was able to meet her new great grandsons which brought her much joy. Those moments will be treasured by her family. She will be missed and forever in our hearts.

Rosel’s family would like to thank the Dryden Regional Health Centre staff for the great care Rose received while in hospital.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held with family at a later date.
