Marilen Kihn June 28, 1948 - September 22, 2022

Date of Funeral

September 27, 2022

It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Marilen Kihn.

She is survived by her son Richard and daughter Rhonda, brother Marvin and his wife Linda. Grandchildren Brandon (Nina), Stephanie (Ollman), Dylan (Maddison), Kaitlyn and great grandchildren Charleigh, Thomas, Jaxon, Ollman, to whom she was affectionately known as GiGi. Nieces Tracy (Curt) and Sharman (Kyle) and their children Josh, Alex, Cam, and Jonna.

Marilen was predeceased by her parents Dorothy and Thomas Alberts, husband Ron Johansen and her brother Larry Alberts.

Marilen was born in Dryden and attended Zealand School and Dryden High School. Marilen loved doing crafts, so much so that she built her business Gifts and Gab Ceramics. She made so many friends during this time and created a safe space to share stories, love and friendships. Marilen went on to work at Walmart and there a tight bond was formed between her and many of her coworkers. Even after retirement they continued to get together for lunch and catch up on life.

People were so important to Marilen and she opened her heart and her home to all, especially to those who were hurting and in need. Many people that Marilen met and were touched by her love became family the instant she put her arms around them.

She will be missed by so many, but her love will live on through us all. Go and be the light!

A Memorial Service will be held at the Dryden Legion on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Velma Henderson officiating. Interment is to follow at the Dryden Cemetery
