Linda McMenemy July 26, 1952 - June 21, 2025

With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Mae McMenemy (née Keehn) on June 21, 2025, with her devoted husband, Pat, lovingly by her side.

Born on July 26, 1952, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Linda was the daughter of Norman and Lillian Keehn. She spent her formative years in Thunder Bay, attending public school and later Hammarskjold High School. It was there, in 1966, that she met Pat — the love of her life. They married in 1970 and embarked on a lifelong journey filled with deep love, laughter, and unwavering companionship.

In 1972, Linda and Pat moved to Dryden when Pat joined the Ontario Provincial Police. Linda brought her natural warmth and light-hearted spirit to her work, first at Bobay Lumber and later at Patricia Gardens. Her caring heart and sincere nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

A lifelong animal lover, Linda shared her heart with many beloved dogs over the years — Shandi, Tina, Sadie, Shayla, and most recently, her faithful companion Brady, who brought her immense comfort and joy.

Linda was predeceased by her beloved son, Jeffrey Laurence; her parents, Norman and Lillian Keehn; her brother, Gary; and several cherished aunts and uncles.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Pat; her son Michael (Sheri); her treasured grandchildren, Jeffrey and Kamryn (Carter); and her brothers, Norman (Thunder Bay) and Ronald.

Linda will be remembered for her honesty, quiet strength, and the laughter and light she brought into every room. She lived with a generous spirit and a strong sense of community, proudly volunteering with Second Chance Pet Network and always lending a hand — whether raking leaves, tending her yard, or offering a warm word to neighbours.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures: weekly visits to the salon for her hair and nails, working on jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, attending Entertainment Series evenings with friends Yvonne and Sandy, and browsing TikTok for hours on end. In earlier years, she was a devoted hockey mom, faithfully cheering from the stands and offering encouragement (and the occasional advice) to her son Mike.

Linda’s life was one of love, loyalty, and quiet grace. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the joy of knowing her.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Dr. Viherjoki and the exceptional nursing staff at the Dryden Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care and unwavering support.

Cremation has taken place and a private family ceremony will occur at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to:
Second Chance Pet Network, Box 343, Dryden, ON P8N 2Z1
or
Dryden Regional Health Centre, 58 Goodall Street, Dryden, ON P8N 2Z6
