Katharine Wolff September 10, 1931 - October 14, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom on October 14, 2024, at the age of 93.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter in January 2020 and son-in-law Carl in 2006. She is survived by her five children: Peter, Trudy (Gerry), Andy (Janine), Gabie (Grant), and Fred (Tammara). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Chani (Chris), Tracey (Adam), Doug (Chas), Rachelle (Jason), Rebecca (Dale), Daniel (Carmela), Matthew (Niecy), and Rejeanne (Paul), thirteen great-grandchildren, sisters; Sara, and Regina (Andreas), brothers-in-law; Fritz and Hans, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom was a very kind, giving person. She would always help the less fortunate and always willing to give her support and words of wisdom.

Mom worked at Cadarios for 24 years. She was a very dedicated employee and there she made many friends throughout the years. She worked hard to maintain her household, making delicious home cooked meals, baking, managing a huge vegetable garden, looking after five children and working full time. Her time was used wisely even while watching tv. She was crocheting or knitting, cleaning blueberries or shelling peas.

We would like to thank Dr. Doiron and the nurses and PSW’s on the second floor of Princess Court for taking good care of Mom throughout the years.

You will remain in our hearts forever Mom. Rest easy, you have definitely earned it. We love you!

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life for Katharine and Peter will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church with Pastor Michael Montague officiating.

Interment will take place at a later date.

As I think back to the many times sitting in Kathy’s kitchen having tea and dessert, it brings back many fond memories. Never a lack of conversation. Many times as planned we would arrive early ahead of Pete. ☺️ They were both important people in our lives, growing up next door. Kathy’s kindness never ended. We have shared many fond memories to hold onto. May we all keep them alive in our hearts and minds and they will continue to live on through us. May the love of family and friends comfort you during this difficult time. Our most heartfelt condolences.
