Expressions of sympathy may be sent to dcfh@drytel.net subject heading: Kellar

In loving memory of Joyce Kellar, aged 80, who passed away on December 7, 2017 at home with her family by her side. Born in Wynard, Saskatchewan, moving to Dryden after the Second World War. She and Jim Kellar married on January 31, 1953.

Leaving behind her children; Shirley (Jack), Leslie (Bev), Nancy (Greg), Carol (Rob), 7 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Maxine Moulton, brother-in-law Maurice Kellar as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, husband Jim, brother Verne and son-in-law Ron.

Joyce was a very strong woman fighting cancer for many years, but she had a very loving and caring heart. Joyce was an excellent cook. Many years were spent cooking for; her passion, the Moose Hall and family. Her eyes would sparkle to see everyone enjoy her meals as much as she enjoyed cooking. Her home was always opened for coffee. She enjoyed knitting, crafts, bingo, and gambling trips. She was a friend to everyone. Her greatest joy was getting together with family. There was little that she wouldn’t do for anyone, always putting everyone’s needs first. She was loved and will be missed by all the lives that she touched.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, December 15th, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home‘s Chapel with Pastor Velma Henderson officiating.

Interment will take place at a later date.
