    Hello,

I went to High School with Jo-Lee, and although we weren’t that close, we had a few classes together over the years, we were both in band, and her locker was just down the hall from mine which made for regular nods or “Hello”s in the hallway.

I remember her as incredibly kind, incredibly smart and she played a mean flute. I have no bad memories of Jo-Lee, only happy ones. I am sure that is true for a great number of people as well.

My condolences, she will be missed.

Our mother Nellie (nee Woitowicz) and our father Jake Lellava were Jo-Lee’s great aunt and uncle. When our mom lived in Dryden, she loved to hear her brother Alec Woitowicz’s stories of the antics his little grandkids Jo-Lee and Bailey got up to. Especially the one where Bailey packed her little yellow suitcase! As the girls grew up and lived in Thunder Bay to attend college and university, their Auntie Nellie and Uncle Jake who lived in Thunder Bay loved to hear from the girls and take them out to dinner at the Prospector with us. As a young woman, Jo-Lee came for a visit to Thunder Bay. Her Grandma Auntie Rose called to let us know Jo-Lee was in town and we had a great visit with her. Janet’s cats competed for Jo-Lee’s attention. Our heartfelt condolences to Bailey, Auntie Rose, Gerry and all of their families. Rest in peace dear Jo-Lee. Love Valerie and Janet Lellava
