Jack was born to Edna and Graham Calvert on June 9, 1952 in Eagle River. He lived in Eagle River for his entire life. At age 18 he started working for the Dryden Mill. He worked there until his retirement in 2010. He had a few jobs at the mill, starting with driving log trucks then onto equipment operator out in the wood/chip yard. He met and married the love of his life, Patricia Wehrle on June 21, 1974. They started their family with Peter in 1976 and added Peggy and finally Jacob to make the family complete. He loved his family immensely and had many adventures with them including building the house on Eagle Lake where he lived until his final day. He enjoyed his retirement by camping across Canada, travelling across the world with his wife and friends and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He loved his camping adventures with the kids and attending their sporting events. Jack passed away unexpectedly and suddenly but went peacefully.
Jack was predeceased by his parents Edna and Graham Calvert. He was survived by his wife Pat, his children Peter Calvert (Ann), Peggy Marion (Jason, Alyssa, Ethan) and Jacob (Marcie, Olivia, Mikayla, Callie, Zachary). Also survived by his siblings Sharon (Barry) Weberg, Jim (Jeanne) Calvert and Joyce (Stan) Blanchard as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and family members.
Jack’s family wishes to express gratitude to the EMS Paramedics, the OPP and the DRHC staff.
