It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gail Lee Turner, who passed away with her family by her side at the Dryden Regional Health Centre on July 12, 2026, at the age of 64. Gail was born on January 17, 1962, in Dryden, Ontario.
She was predeceased by her mother, Lillian Turner.
Gail will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 26 years, Doug Ellek, whom she married on August 11, 2000; her sons, Stefan (Myka) and Sheldon; her father, Leroy Turner; the father of her sons, Mario Rodrigue; her sisters, Lorraine (Charlie) Cockle and Karen (Bryan) Stoiber; her nieces, Angeline and Ashley Cockle; her nephews, Trevor and Tyler Stoiber.
Gail found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved tending to her flowers and gardens, baking the perfect apple pie, and making her famous blueberry cheesecake for family gatherings. Whether it was fashion or home décor, she had a keen eye for beauty and the finer details. One of the surest signs that Gail was in her happy place was pulling into the driveway hearing the old country music playing as she spent time at home doing what she loved.
A Private family gathering will take place a later date.
In lieu of flowers and donations, spend time with loved ones…
