Mrs. Elfriede Jouliet (Willmann), 89 years, passed away on April 21, 2021, at the Dryden Regional Health Centre, days before her 90th Birthday.
Elfriede was born in Dresden Germany, emigrating to Port Arthur, Ontario in 1952. Elfriede is survived by sons; Bodo (Regina) of Minneapolis, Willy of Thunder Bay, Roy (Mary) of Mississauga, and recently appointed 4th son, Darcy (Tanya) of Dryden, as well as three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and Cousin Hans-Joachim (Gisela) in Germany.
Predeceased by her parents, brother Gunther Otto, husband Heinz Willmann, husband Albert Jouliet and best friend Ron Birnie.
Mom was kind, loving and fiercely independent. Her zest for adventure took Mom and Albert RVing through Canada, US and Mexico many times through the years.
Mom finally settled in Dryden where she and Albert worked. After Albert’s passing, Mom continued camping and fishing at Elipse Lake with her adopted family, the Birnie’s: Ron, Bill and Candice, Linda Brignal, Darcey and Tanya, and the Birnie extended family. Mom and Ron enjoyed watching and following the travels of the Dryden Ice Dogs Hockey team and watched nearly every game at the Dryden Arena where she eventually got her own seat.
