On a bright snowy day March 25th, 2022 Dorothy Kathleen Barber was wrapped in the arms of two of her daughters she left this place to continue on to her next journey, Mom earned the most beautiful Pink Angel Wings.
Mom who was also loving known as Chick, Grandma Chickee, was one of the most loving, compassionate, and Stubborn women who always lived her life her way. Through all the rain and rainbows mom earned two College Diploma’s through her lifetime…..She was one of the most intelligent woman we knew, which lives on in all three of her daughters.
Grandma Chickee adored each of her 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, each one will never forget “The Chicken Song” this was a special song Grandma Chickee shared with such love.
We would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to all the compassionate staff at Pinecrest, mom enjoyed the conversations and humor with each of you and so loved her time there. A special Thank you to Mike and Sharon for the utmost respectful, compassionate and dignified Palliative Care.
Mom’s last words would like to be to everyone “I did it my way”
