It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David “Dave” Frances Foley on September 26, 2026. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by friends and family, including his wife, Barbara, extended family members Tom, Jaimee, Marli, and Kelli Stemkosky, and our great neighbour, Roly.
Dave was born in Thunder Bay on July 24, 1952, but eventually made his way to Dryden because of work. He was an ironworker for 40 years, working across the country and building friendships and connections along the way. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, going down the lake for swims and picnics, and, best of all, barbecuing on our pontoon. He will be remembered for the care he extended to others, always showing up when needed.
Dave was predeceased by his mother, Ella-Mae, and his father, Frank.
His loss will be deeply felt. He will be remembered through his stories, laughter, lessons, and the memories he leaves behind.
As per Dave’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at our home on Coombs Drive in Dryden on July 24, 2027, at 2 p.m.
