Georgina Irene Woitowicz (Boyd)
July 20, 1932 – February 27, 2019
In loving memory of Georgina Woitowicz who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre with family by her side.
Georgina was raised on the farm in North Glengoland by parents George and Clissie Boyd. She married her husband Joe Woitowicz on July 30, 1953 and helped run the family business with Joe and Donald until she retired a month ago.
Georgina taught school for her entire career. Her students still love her and she remembered them all. She enjoyed knitting mitts for all the kids for Christmas and especially loved her coffee dates at McDonald’s in Walmart every morning.
Georgina is survived by her son Donald (Tammy), sister Audrey Gerrish, brothers Doug (Dwan) Boyd and Don (Linda) Boyd, sister-in-law’s Sherri Woitowicz, Olga Woitowicz, Jessie Katcher, Helen Woitowicz and Pauline (Bob) Selkirk and brother-in-law’s Paul (Shirley) Woitowicz and Robert Beggs as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and adopted grandchildren. She will be missed by her companions Bella and Blaze.
Georgina is predeceased by her husband Joseph, parents George and Clissie, infant son Carl, sister June Hutchison and brother-in-law’s Earl Hutchison and Reg Gerrish.
