In Loving Memory of…
Douglas Jordens
October 2nd, 1956 – December 30th, 2026
The family of Douglas Jordens grieves to announce his passing at the age of sixty-nine on December 30, 2025.
Doug leaves behind his wife Laura (née Smits) of forty-six years, his daughter Chanda McAuley (Alex), his sons; Johlen (Melissa), Darian (Alyssa) and Justin (Gillian) and his grandchildren; Emma, Peter, Lydia, Lucas and Nora.
Doug was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Mary Jordens, his father-in-law John Smits, and brother-in-law Robin Malcolm. He is survived by his mother-in-law Juliette Smits, his six siblings and their spouses: Laura’s six sisters and their spouses, along with many nephews, nieces and extended family.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff, nurses and doctors at the DRHC who took care of him during his short illness. He was appreciative of the support that he received during this time.
There will be a Funeral Service at St. Joseph’s Church May 1st, 2026 at 11:00 A.M for family and friends, followed by a reception in the Church Hall.
Interment to follow at the Dryden Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of Dougs untimely passing. I remember good times at the house… one night in particular, seeing the Northere Lights right over your house… funny that memory came back this instant… and, too, we used to jog once and awhile in the mornings and chat.
