Penelope (Penny) Bruvall, née Wigle, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on November 12, 2024.
Family meant everything to Mom, and she was the heart and soul of ours.
We will cherish the many memories of her hosting Sunday roast beef suppers and holiday family gatherings with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins while we were growing up.
Her grandchildren, along with great-nieces and nephews, enjoyed swimming, campfires, fishing, and sleepovers with Mom and Dad while they spent summers camping at Aaron Park.
Mom eagerly attended any event involving family—many hockey tournaments, baseball tournaments, karate classes, gymnastics, or horse events—cheering and bragging about whomever was involved.
Her great-granddaughters, London and Delilah, were the apples of her eye. She recently told us that her favorite day of the week was Tuesday, as she always got to see Delilah.
Mom will be greatly missed by daughters Lisa (Ed) Smith and Michelyn (Neil) Hagen; grandchildren Kevin Engel, Samantha (Bryce) Hron, Joshua (Taelor) Smith, Shae Hagen, and Chantel MacDonald; great-grandchildren London Engel, Delilah Hron, Charleigh McGarrity, and Casey Neimi. She is also survived by her brother, Casey (Laura) Wigle; sisters-in-law Patty Wigle and Leon Boucha; and brother-in-law Thomas Bruvall, along with many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
“Where Am I Now
Sing me a song of a lass that is gone
Say, could that lass be I?
Merry of soul she sailed on a day
Over the sea to Skye
Billow and breeze, islands and seas
Mountains of rain and sun
All that was good, all that was fair
All that was me is gone.”
