It is with the deepest regret we announce the passing of our dear friend Shannon, who lost her struggle with addiction in Thunder Bay.
Besides the many friends Shannon met on her journey, she left to mourn her mother Sherry Wilton, father Steve Rousseau, children Jessi and Mason Keffer, brother Chato Rumsey, and nieces Mihena Gillespie and Angelis Justice.
She was born on June 1, 1984 and made many places her home, however, Dryden was where she spent most of her time. Shannon never met a person she didn’t love despite her struggles to find the strength to love herself. She never had a harsh or unkind word to direct at anyone and at her core, was devoted to help others as best she could. She was known for her love of music, particularly the Dave Matthews Band, and had a sweet tooth that never seemed to relinquish its hold on her. She loved her children deeply and spoke of them, often. Shannon had a simplistic view on life and never valued things over people. Material assets meant nothing to her and with what little she had, she gave freely without looking back.

March 1, 2023 at 6:56 pmI Love You – By Ali Mazhari –
On the soft silk of a blossom, the white dawn of love wrote:
“Oh You! Always lovely as a flower. I love You. I love You.”
On the sands of a calm sea, with the pen of kindness and the ink of tenderness,
In a special and secret language, it wrote again:
“Oh You who have turned into a mythical bird
and lived in a legendary mountain. I love You. I love You.”
The sands flee suddenly as the breeze appeared. A flower dropped from the branch.
The gust made a wailing sound, and a bird began to sing:
“As long as I exist – everywhere and at all times – no matter where You are,
I remain the dust of Your lane, because You know. I love You. I love You.”
