Ronald Clayfield January 30, 1947 - March 3, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that I announce the passing of my spouse of 30 years, Ron Clayfield, aged 78, who passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with COPD.

He was a miner, an avid fisherman who loved nature and the outdoors, music, painting, and gardening.

He is predeceased by his parents Raymond and Elaine Clayfield, brothers Brian, sister Susan, son Tom, and grandson Mathew Clayfield.

Ron leaves behind Jan Irvine, brother James (Gloria) Clayfield of Mount Forest, ON, sons Jessie (Robyn) with two grandchildren, Jason with one grandchild, and Mark with five grandchildren. He is also survived by his long-time friend Roy Napish, his guiding friends at North Shore Lodge, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to the staff at the Dryden Regional Health Centre, Dr. Viherjoki, Dr. Pettinger, Dr. Moir, and Jennifer Millard.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Living – Dryden, 99 Albert St. Dryden, ON P8N 1J1 or to the Canadian Lung Association, 885 Meadowlands Dr. Suite 502, Ottawa, ON K2C 3N2
