Leonard (Len) Earl Scott, Sr., beloved son, brother, uncle, great uncle, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away on September 12, 2025. Born April 20, 1935, he was the son of Earl and Edna Scott.
Len was a proud veteran who served overseas in Germany. A hard worker his entire life, he held many jobs, but his greatest joy came from driving cab — a career he loved for over 45 years. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and the friendships he made everywhere he went.
Len enjoyed friendly competition — he played an excellent game of pool and a mean game of poker (and once or twice acquired a car that way!). He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman who frequently took his sons and grandchildren out on the water.
Len is predeceased by his parents Earl and Edna Scott; siblings Bessy (Herb), Don (Jennifer), Ron (Shirley), Kenny (Bonnie); son Joey, niece Wanda; and nephew Brent. He is survived by his brother Harold; his children Bernadean, Leonard (Jr.), Steven, and Angela (Norm); seven grandchildren Ryan, Alicia (Jeff), Katie, Jacob, Carter, Joey, and Nathanial; and seven great-grandchildren Leilani, Liam, Natalia, Ryanne (Haydyn), Payton, Hannah, and Ashley.
Len’s family remembers him as a kind-hearted, loving, and generous man who was always ready to help anyone in need. He will be forever loved and missed.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
Leave a Condolence
