Kenneth Stanley Hicks
With heavy hearts the family of Kenneth Stanley Hicks announces his passing on March 10th, 2018 at the Dryden Hospital. Ken was born on July 28th, 1955 in Atikokan, Ontario. The family eventually moved to the Dryden area which became home.
Ken started his working career at the Dryden Paper Mill and retired from the Domtar Mill.
Ken was an avid outdoors man, and loved to include his family and friends on his many adventures. During his retirement, Ken pursued his dream of owning a Harley Davidson. He enjoyed many cross country trips with friends. Due to ill health the adventures will limit.
Ken endured many health issues the last couple of years, which developed a unique relationship with the many of the wonderful and caring nurses at the Dryden Hospital. Words cannot express the families’ appreciation of the care and compassion shown for a very strong willed man.
Ken is survived by 2 sons, Michael and Kenny Hicks, 1 sister, Heather (Marly) Wilson, lifelong friend, Eloi Turbide, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, and 3 sisters, Lynda Coulson, Darlene Pollard and Georgena Thompson.
