Is it with great sadness we announce the passing of Kenneth Douglas Crigger, aged 72 of Dryden Ontario, after a short but fierce battle with cancer on August 13, 2022, at the Dryden Regional Health Centre surrounded by his loved ones.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 51-years Margaret, daughter Jennifer (James) and his beloved grandchildren Tyler Turgeon (Taylor), Stephanie Beaudoin (Garrett) and Jesse Turgeon. Along with extended family and friends who he also considered his family.
He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Colleen, his parents John and Cybil, siblings Johnny and Wanda and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kenneth was born in Dryden, Ontario. He began his logging career at a young age with his uncle, George and then worked for many years cutting wood in the bush for The Company. Ken and Margaret raised their two daughters in Minnitaki. His love of the outdoors brought many fishing, hunting and camping trips with family and friends. Ken spent many summers at Godson Lake camping and fishing. His winters were spent with early mornings on the ice road. Ken was a great storyteller and had a story for every back road from Thunder Bay to Winnipeg. His sense of humor always brought laughter to those around him. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

It hurts the heart knowing Ken is no longer with us. At times like this it seems so difficult to find a way to show sympathetic thoughts that words can never say. He will be sorely missed.
With heart felt sympathy to all. Sending our love, hugs and prayers.

I was so sorry to hear of Kenny’s passing, not knowing of his illness until just recently, and then I missed the funeral. Thoughts and prayers are not enough at this grievous time, but hopefully your moments of hope and despair going forward, will be healed through the remembrance of many wonderful memories of Kenny, together with your loved ones, may bring comfort to you….
