Joseph Delaney April 14, 1954 - April 7, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Delaney of Dryden, Ontario on April 7, 2024, after a lengthy illness.

Joseph Gerard Jude Delaney was born on April 14, 1954 in Quebec City, Quebec. His parents were William Evoy Delaney and Mary Eileen Conway both of Quebec. Joe was predeceased by his brother Jack Delaney of B.C. and his wife of 27 years Merli Celistino of the Philippines. Left to mourn is his son Martin Delaney of Dryden.

Joe had many jobs in Winnipeg and in Thunder Bay and later took great pride in owning and managing Delaney’s Deli in Dryden. Joe was a wonderful storyteller, and family and friends enjoyed hearing tales of his many experiences. He enjoyed many fishing trips and playing drums in local bands.

No service has been planned at this time.

So sorry to hear of Joe Delaney passing last Sunday. We grew up and went to school together, had many good times and lots of fun in Quebec. When we moved out west Joe was in the back seat of my 1970 maverick playing his guitar from Quebec to Winnipeg. Rest in peace my dear friend.🌷🌷🌷
