In loving memory of Jonathan Perry Norman, age 39 years, who passed away Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020 with his wife by his side.
Born and raised in Dryden, Jonathan decided to move out west for work where he met his loving wife Sarah who shared the same values and had the same passion for the outdoors and family life that he had. They decided to move back to Jonathan’s hometown to take advantage of sunset country.
Working hard was what Jonathan knew well and really found his calling for the bush following in his father’s footsteps. His mother influenced his exceptional cooking skills. Jonathan was a family man who adored and did anything and everything for his girls and then if he had time, went fishing. He preferred “hard water” over summer casting although, if he went home to Newfoundland, the salmon on the river would call his name along with his father-in-law.
He knew how much he was loved to the last minute and would love if you could smile and not cry when you think of him.
Jonathan is survived by his wife Sarah, two beautiful girls Camryn and Callie, parents Perry and Gilda Norman, mother and father in law Pauline and Dennis Hancock, sister and brother in law Tania and Rex Cassell, niece and nephew Alicia and Donovan Cassell, and many, many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Jonathan is predeceased by his sister Joanne Norman.

June 4, 2020 at 5:23 pmMy heart aches for you my dear cousin as you mourn the loss of your husband and father to your beautiful children! Knowing the circumstances surrounding his passing leaves you mourning in a much different way than maybe you could have imagined, is a tough realization. Sarah, hold on to those precious, and sweet memories you have with Jonny. Your love will live on and nothing can change that! And girls, never forget he loved you and his presence will live on through you! Praying for comfort and strength for you all. Also for Jonathan’s parents, knowing their pain of great loss is running deep. Aunt Polly and Uncle Dee and Tania and family and everyone who loved him dearly, may God be with you all!

I didn’t know Jonathan well but know of the love that he was raised with and apparently with his words of wanting to be remembered with a smile says so much of what a great man he was. Perry and Gilda I do not have words to express my sympathy. May the love that surrounds you help you get through.

June 5, 2020 at 8:50 pmFeeling so heartbroken that we have lost another family member, who is gone way too soon! It is even sadder that we can’t be with the family to support them in this time of covid-19! Words can’t express the way we felt when we got the news that Jonathan had passed away! Now we have to find ways to be with our family from afar! We were so happy ,that we got to spend some quality time with jonathon this past summer! We got to take him and Sarah , Camryn and Callie to our paradise in the tickles! Pauline and Dennis joined us as well! Everyone enjoyed the day! I cooked drive-in chicken and taters and cooked a goose with all the fixings! We had a wonderful day! We have lots of memories of time spent with you and your family and lots of stories to tell! You fought a good fight and now you are another guardian angel to watch over us! I’m sure Joanne was waiting for you with open arms! You will always live in our hearts until we meet again!
I just want to leave this quote:
FOR A DEARLY LOVED NEPHEW
A Nephews eyes have gone forever
His smile, his laugh, his face
Where once he stood before us
A lone picture takes his place
Gone too soon, a fine young man
From Dryden, your place of birth
We can’t believe, that this is real
That you no longer walk this earth
Reality is, we know it’s true
But still we can’t believe a fine young man with so much life
Really had to leave.
We loved you from your time of birth
We watched you grow and learn
Our Nephew, we shall meet again
When it’s our time to return
Love always and forever
Uncle Rex and Aunt Joan! ❤️?
Sending lots of love , thoughts and prayers to Gilda, Perry, Sarah, Camryn, and Callie! ❤️???❌⭕️
