Janice Langlais December 17, 1956 - November 9, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Janice Rose Langlais. Janice passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on November 9th, 2025, at the Dryden Regional Hospital. She faced her final days with the same strength, courage, and grace that defined her entire journey through life.

Janice was born and raised in Dryden, Ontario on the 17th day of December, 1956. Over the years, she worked at Scott National and later ran the Mohawk and Co-op gas stations with dedication and pride. She had a genuine love for life, enjoying golf, pickleball, playing games, watching curling, and cheering on the Blue Jays. She rarely missed an Ice Dogs game and especially loved watching her grandchildren on the ice. Each winter, Janice looked forward to her time in Yuma, and the excitement of the season ahead was always clear from the smile on her face.

Janice was always willing to help anyone in need and stood firmly by those she cared about. Her loyalty, generosity, and caring nature made a lasting impact on everyone around her. She was immensely proud of her son, admiring the dedication, love, and hard work he showed toward his family. Janice was impressed by how he learned and accomplished so much on his own, without his father’s guidance, always putting his family first and being there for them in every way. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she took great pride in their achievements, from school to hockey and all the moments in between.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry Langlais, her father, Mike Stachowich, father in law Leo Langlais, mother in law Orise Langlais, and brother-in-laws Neil Flatt and Leo Langlais. She is survived by her son, Jason (Shelly), grandchildren Kadyn and Charlie, her mother, Rose Stachowich, sisters Judy and Louise (Dave), and brother Jim (Diana), in laws Leona (Rick), Colleen (Doug), Claude (Diana), Daniel (Anne), Richard (Marg), Michael (Cathy), Paul (Jody), Guy (Wendy) and Tracey. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, along with many dear friends who held a special place in her heart and meant the world to her.

The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to all the nurses at DRHC, whom Janice truly cherished and held in the highest regard. A Sincere thanks to the doctors, surgeons, technicians, chemo nurses, dietary aids, and administrative staff at DRHC. As well, Lindsay and the entire homecare team for their compassion and dedication; the care she received was truly outstanding. A special thank you to Father Mike, for visiting Mom and offering such a meaningful prayer. The family also extends appreciation to Dryden Community Funeral Home for their kind support and guidance.

We would also like to thank our friends and family for all the love and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dryden Regional Health Centre, to the Oncology Department or Dialysis Unit, PO Box 3003, Dryden, ON, P8N 2Y8.
