James “Jim” Lewis January 11, 1962 - April 15, 2023

The family of James (Jimmy) Mervin  Lewis would like to announce they saw him off on his eternal fishing trip. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 15  2023.

Jim was born in Sudbury, Ontario on January 11,1962 and was raised in Chapeau, Quebec. He met his wife Lise in Dryden, ON in 1984 where they married shortly after and settled to raise their children.

Jim enjoyed fishing, music, gardening, and Nascar. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh; but most of all, he loved food, cooking and sharing these joys in the company of his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Lise Lewis (Fex), son James Caughey, and daughters Dorothy Chaval (Craig), Dawna-Leigh Fex, and Tina Lewis (Alan McQuigge). Grandchildren, Ashtin-James, Westan, Bryson, Dustin, Colton, Dalten, Lily, Teagun, and Cohen. Sister Tammy Lewis and brother Raymond Lewis. As well as brother and sister in laws, and many nieces and newphews.

He was predeceased by his sister Tina Lewis (1966), Mother Doris (Lawlor) Lewis (1989), Brother Keith Lewis (2016), and Father Raymond Lewis (2022)

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00pm at 19592 Hwy, 17 West, Oxdrift, Ontario.

A service taking place in Pembroke, Ontario will be announced at a later date.

    Uncle James and I are so sad, but also know how special you were to Lise and your whole family you will be grieved by all your family and be so missed, Uncle James was so proud to be your Godfather and I feel so blessed to have you as my nephew. RIP Jimmy you are forever in our hearts. We are broken but know you are with your eternal family and loved by all. Wish we could be with Lise and all your family but health and age stop us. We love you all💔💔
