After a short hospital stay, Jerry passed quietly with loved ones at his side. Jerry was always a hard worker who gave 150% to any job he did, whether it was logging in Amesdale with his father or building roads into South Bay then into Falconbridge. With H&M Construction, Jerry’s real calling was being the “Grader Man” in which he took great pride, on the Vermilion River Road for Buchanan Forests Products. We still hear comments about his ability to keep the road driveable. Jerry spent many extra hours to keep “his road” in the best possible condition. Those that knew Jerry knew he was a little opinionated (LOL) but deep down, he was very caring and dedicated.
As per Jerry’s wishes, there will be no service. Cremation has already taken place and a private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please cherish your loved ones or simply reflect on a memory of Jerry that you have.
A special thank you to Dr. Moir and Dr. Bester along with nursing staff, and especially to Nurse Bev, for the care and compassion shown in Jerry’s last hours.
