Frank Coulson October 20, 1965 - May 26, 2023

In loving memory of Frank Coulson, age 57, who passed away at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, Thunder Bay, ON on Friday, May 26, 2023.

Frank is survived by his sister Dixie Vossen of Thunder Bay and niece Shannon McGarry of Guelph, ON, brother Gordon Kockodon of Danbury, Connecticut, brother Wesley Rheaume of Toronto, ON and nephew Dyami Corriveau of BC, and niece Hannah Corriveau of BC, sister Judy Rheaume of Toronto, ON and nephew Mgizehs Shaggi of Toronto, ON, sister Donna Plummer of Thunder Bay and niece Tara Porter of Brampton, ON and nephew Kevin Porter of Sault Ste. Maire, ON, niece Robin Mamakeesic of Thunder Bay, ON, niece Beverley Plummer of Thunder Bay, ON, nephew Rob Plummer of Thunder Bay, ON, nephew Bradley Plummer of Thunder Bay, ON, niece Chasity Plummer of Thunder Bay, ON, many great nieces and nephews, many cousins from the Lands, Walmsley, Gardner, Wabonge, Kavanaugh, Kelly, Pitchenese, Brown, Green, and Barden families as well as his adoptive family; the Coulson’s. He is also survived by his special friend Anegeline Whiskeyjack, uncle Cyril Barden (Darlene) of Ignace, ON and aunt Ethel Jensson of Dryden, ON from his fathers’ side and aunts Marlene Landon of Eagle Lake, ON and Sarah Turner (Ed Arnold) of Dryden, ON from his mothers’ side, as well as many other extended family members of which there are too many to name.

Frank is predeceased by his brother Donald Plummer, sister Brenda Plummer, parents Richard Barden and Alice Landon, and many aunts and uncles.

When Frank was young, he had joined the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps and had many opportunities to travel the world and learn while on the open water. He also was a member of the Eagle Lake Jiggers and learned to square dance and was also a Grass Dancer. He worked at tourist camps along Eagle River as a dock boy and a guide, and also loved working for a few years at the Bingo Palace in Migisi Sahgaigan. He had recently left his job at B&B Roadhouse as a sous chef due to his ailments. He loved to cook and sometimes shared his craft with his family and friends. He had also pursued his S100 Fire Fighting Training with the MNR for forest fire fighting.

Frank loved hockey, Toronto Blue Jays, betting on horse racing, playing cards and fishing out on Eagle Lake. He also loved his family and took care of his mother Alice in her final years.

Frank will be missed by all his friends and family.
