Floyd Derouin January 10, 1966 - June 11, 2025

Date of Funeral

June 17, 2025

How do you sum up a life full of joy and love? Our beloved brother found happiness in the simple things—singing karaoke with his wife Crista, casting a line while fishing, relaxing at his cabin, and most of all, spending time with his family. Whatever he did, he gave it his all—and he truly enjoyed every moment. A lifelong fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, he began cheering for them as a young boy of eight or nine and never stopped believing in his team. He was devoted to his wife Crista, and though her passing was a heartbreak, their love remains a lasting light in his story. He had a big heart—always ready to help, always full of kindness. We’ll remember the little guy who used to curl up on Mom’s lap when he wasn’t feeling well and grew into a man who offered comfort to others in return.

He is survived by his siblings, Caroline, Josie, John (Agnes), Allen (Arlene), Dennis (Joyce), Louise (Dan), James (spouse), Jackie (John), Erika (Justin), Albert (Myrna), and Donnie. He leaves behind his children Cheryl, Breezy, Brandon, and Adam, along with many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who loved him dearly.

He is predeceased by his loving wife Crista Deroin, his grandparents Peter, Mary, Albert, and Juliet, and many beloved uncles, aunts, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Dryden Community Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 2-4 pm. As per his wishes, cremation will follow with interment at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke, 2300 Yonge St. Suite 1200, Box 2414, Toronto, ON M4P 1E4
