Edward Feller August 19, 1972 - August 29, 2024

It is with deepest sorrow that the family of Edward Witold Feller announce his sudden unexpected passing on August 29, 2024.

Ed was born to Witold (Bob) and Karen Feller on August 19, 1972, in Dryden, Ontario. He spent his younger years growing up in Minnitaki attending Eagle River School then completed his schooling in Dryden. As a young adult Ed left Dryden and ventured west settling on the west coast of British Columbia where his first son Alexander (1998) was born. While in B.C. Ed earned his red seal as a welder and in his down time he could be found on the river banks fishing for salmon. After living in B.C. for approximately ten years he returned to Dryden and met Annette Badiuk and her three children. Soon after that their family was completed with the addition of Lyss (2003) and Joe (2005).

Ed’s passion was family, friends and the outdoors. He loved to fish regardless of the season or weather and in any stream, lake or river. Many family adventures centered around fishing in a variety of wild and wonderful locations. Ed was also a favourite Eagle Lake guide to many from both sides of the border. He started his guiding career at Cedar Point Lodge where he was so much more than a guide, traveling south to sportsman’s shows to share his love of fishing, hunting and the outdoors. In the summer months, Ed would be found out in the boat, trying to catch that “Big Dawg”. In the fall, he spent much of his time on the hunt for the big one – deer, moose and bear. Most recently Ed was welcomed into the Andy Myers Lodge family where he furthered his guiding experience. He was known for his passion for the outdoors, dedication to his clients and his quick wit. Even if you only knew him for a short time you were fortunate to call him a friend.

Ed spent his work week with guests, but he was never too busy to get back out on the water, or in the bush, with his family. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren, whom he loved to share his passion of the outdoors. Hunting birds, deer and moose became a great past time with the kids – so many great memories were made. Ed was always up for family gatherings – hosting fish fries for family and friends were his favourite way to get together.

Ed is predeceased by his parents, Witold and Karen Feller, his father-in-law, Lawrence Badiuk, and his brother in law, Daniel Badiuk.

Ed is survived by Annette Badiuk of Dryden; his children, Alexander Chartrand-Feller of British Columbia, Alyssa Feller (Devin), Joseph Feller (Claire); his step-children Amanda Graf (Jesse), Andy Brown, Billy Brown (Michelle); his sister Martha Saunders (Tim), his brother Robert Feller (Kathy); his mother in law, Mary Robinson (Cal); his sister in law Donna Badiuk; his grandson’s Neven and Kohen Graf; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
