Betty Finlayson, aged 84, passed away on April 6, 2024 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre, Dryden, ON. Born on September 30, 1939 to John and Beatrice, Betty was a beloved member of her community known for her kindness, resilience, and unwavering love for the Disney character Tinkerbell.
Betty’s life was filled with love and compassion. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her courage shone brightest when she triumphed over cancer, a battle she fought with unwavering strength and determination.
A passionate reader, Betty found solace and joy in the pages of books. She devoured all the works of Clive Cluster and Louis L’Amour, immersing herself in tales of adventure and romance.
In her younger years, Betty pursued her love for music as a traveling singer with her own band. Her melodious voice enchanted audiences wherever she went. Fondly known as Betty-Boop, she left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who heard her sing.
Betty was also an avid outdoorswoman, finding peace in nature while fishing and exploring the wilderness. Her recent victory in conquering the Zelda game and her enjoyment of playing Mario showcased her adventurous spirit and love for gaming.
Betty is survived by her loving family and friends, who will cherish her memory forever.
Betty Finlayson will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty of the melodies she once sang and the stories she once read.

She had reached out a few times when I was growing up and i always respected her for that. So I would like to extend the same courtesy and offer my condolences to the family.
