In loving memory of Barbara Toskovich
Passing away peacefully at her residence in Princess Court April 5, 2022.
Barbara was born to Fred and Miriam Sherwood, Sept 9, 1929. In the family home on Casimir Ave. Residing there most of her life. She was a thoughtful caring person. As a strong Anglican, she enjoyed working at the church. Making many friends along the way. Her biggest love other than family was her home and yard. She had such a talent for decorating and enjoyed remodeling and rearranging. Her yard was beautiful, getting many compliments. She was a lover of animals which allowed us to have an assortment of pets over the years. She took such great joy in feeding the birds and the chipmunks which made her laugh, scooting in and out of the porch with full cheeks. She also loved watching the deer who also loved her yard.
She is survived by her daughter Shelly (Art) Roulston, grandsons David, Jon (Jess) and very special great grand-daughter Emma. Many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as her best friends since childhood Faye and June. Barb is predeceased by her husband George, son David, her parents, siblings Nancy, Muriel, and Charlie.
A very special thank you to all the staff at DRHC during her stay there and Princess Court for all the kindness shown to Mom.
Mom, I know that dad and Dave came and took you by your hands and walked with you to Heaven. We will miss you all our lives.

April 14, 2022 at 6:26 pmShelly, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. I haven’t seen her for a few years but just seeing her picture put a smile on my face remembering her laugh, her voice. She was a mom to all us kids growing up on Casimir Avenue, she was the best!!! Thinking of you.
