It is with great sorrow that the family of Annie Doudiet wish to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and great aunt after a courageous battle with cancer and heart issues on August 14, 2024.
Annie, 81 years of age, passed away peacefully at the Dryden Regional Health Centre with her daughters at her side.
She is survived by 2 daughters Diana Sieders (William) of Dryden and Dawn Vogel (Paul) of Dryden, 3 granddaughters Hali Vogel (Connor) of Dryden, Dayna Vogel of Ottawa and Emily Sieders of Dryden, as well as her partner of 20 years Harold Robinson of Dryden.
She is also survived by 3 sisters, Susie Juenke (Al) of Dryden, Betty Craner (Val) of Winfield, AB, Clara Johnson (Dwayne) of Edmonton, AB, and many nieces and nephews.
Annie was predeceased by her parents Henri and Elizabeth Braun of Altona, MB, brother Jack Braun of Thunder Bay and sister Shirley Leutschaft of Dryden and her husband of 33 years Alfred William Doudiet of Dryden.
Annie was born in Altona, MB and moved with her family as a child to Quibell. She married Alfred William Doudiet on September 27,1963 and they lived happily in Dryden until his passing on November 12,1996.
Annie had many jobs over the years, mostly in retail stores including Cadarios department store, Economy Supermarket and the Timberland Motel. During the summer months on most weekends, she cold be found parked out at some lake with family and friends sitting around the camp fire at night leading everyone in the songs with her guitar playing and amazing singing voice.
Annie loved all of her family dearly and she felt it was very important to keep in touch with everyone that she could, calling to find out if everyone was ok. She loved spending time with her granddaughters, they were her pride and joy and although they didn’t all live close, she always treasured her time with her sisters.
In 2004 she met Harold Robinson of Dryden, and they had many happy years together until her passing.
