Allan “Al” Marion July 29, 1950 - May 11, 2025

Date of Funeral

July 12, 2025

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Allan Marion at the Dryden Regional Hospital surrounded by family.

Al put up a good fight despite the several medical complications he sustained along the way. No matter what he faced he always had the urge to pester those close to him and make the best of what life handed him.

Allan was born in Winnipeg, MB to his parents Frederic Marion and Winona (nee Botham).

He was a beloved Husband, Father, Stepfather, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Papa, Friend and even if he didn’t know you, he always had the courage to strike up a conversation to get to know you.

Allan was well known in the Dryden community as he was the owner of Allan F. Marion Contracting for 22 years where he worked crushing stone, hauling sand/gravel, operating equipment, building bush roads and assembling septic tanks for numerous customers and organizations surrounding the Dryden area. Al was a dedicated boss and took pride in everything he did.

In his younger days he played and coached baseball and was a member of Sunset Country Bowling Association. Al had a keen interest in outdoor activities such as gold panning, hunting, fishing, camping, and golfing. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren, fur babies Chickie, Oreo, Bella and his Plant Babies.

Al and Kelly spent several years in Yuma, Arizona during the winter months to escape the cold winters.  While in Arizona they enjoyed spending time at the casino, frequent trips to the Vegas Strip, socializing with friends, drives in the desert and countless visits from family and friends.

Allan is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Kelly; children, Aaron (Jasmin) of Dryden, ON, Andrea (Greg) of Edmonton, AB, Autumn (Shawn) of Dryden, ON, Storm (Dustin) of Dryden, ON and Jory (Sydney) of Niverville, MB; grandchildren, Talia, Tanner, Kaydence, Jaxxon, Cooper, Elena and Easton; siblings, Linda (Mike), Debbie, Don (Hilda), Bob (Dawn) and numerous nieces and nephews. Allan is predeceased by his father Frederic, mother Nonie, brother Raymond and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
