Ruth Ilene Schinkman
February 17, 1929 – January 15, 2018
In loving memory of Ruth Ilene Schinkman who passed away peacefully at Princess Court with her family by her side at the age of 88.
Ilene was born in Verden, Manitoba on February 17, 1929. She moved to Waldhof in her early teens. This is where she met the love of her life and husband Rudy.
Mom loved her family. She enjoyed knitting, walking in nature, raising her little chickens, doing embroidery work, riding in the side by side and cooking. There was always a pot of tea on. No one ever went hungry when Ilene made her famous bread and roast.
Ilene was predeceased by her husband Rudy, son George, sisters Jesse, Dorothy and Rose and by her son-in-law Ed. She leaves behind her children Diane, Theresa, Shirley, Judy Richard and John, 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the great staff at Princess Court for all the love and kindness you have shown Mom over the years the right to the end.
